Discover the Heart of A Traveler's Guide

PATH ORIGINS
Hello, my name is Keith Corrado. The idea for the guide came to me one day on one of many long quiet walks. I watched as a singular leaf fell from a tree and slowly drifted inevitably toward the ground. It dawned on me it was just that leaf's turn to take its dance through the air. Leaving the remaining leaves on the branch and joining with the leaves that went ahead of it on the ground. It was just that leaf's unique turn. Looking back to the path I was walking, it became unmistakable that my own existence was just like that leaf. At that moment it was my turn to observe the falling leaf. Tomorrow it might be my turn to experience falling from the tree. Like the leaves on a tree or a snowflake, we are ALL unique and ALL the same. We all come from somewhere and all go somewhere. This makes us ALL travelers. For as long as my memory will stretch I have pondered what it means to be alive…and conversely what it would mean when I wasn’t. Terminal illness has touched my life many times, and fourteen years in EMS afforded me the masterclass in humanism. When I returned home from that walk, I was astounded, for the first time, to take a look at the small niche library I had unwittingly begun over the years. In many cases on my own path through this life I came across souls whose impending death had been disclosed to them with little or no warning leaving them in the naturally panicked state of what does this even mean? While no answer can be provided., comfort and understanding can. We DO live in a time when enough people have asked the question to elicit a guess. Over the years my own personal journey has afforded me the opportunity, time, and resources to build these titles. It seemed foolish for them to sit on a shelf like trophies of conquest. Each book is still alive in its own right, asking the most simple question we all must ask….What happens at the end of the path? So here I humbly invite you to pause. Take a book that speaks to you. If it holds nothing else for you, you will at least be able to see you were never alone in your fears. WE are never alone. If we are willing to take a pause and look around we are just walking on a path, everyone we have ever known walks just a few steps ahead or behind where we are. Will you join me in helping guide those a few steps behind you to know they aren’t alone either?
